+Mr. V8 789/4, formerly a V8 Ranch show bull and six-time Grand Champion for Atwood-Wells Ranch, has sired over 70 show ring point earners in ABBA Approved Shows achieving him the coveted Register of Renown status. Equally impressive, in the area of performance, he is an ABBA Sire Summary multiple trait leader for growth and carcass and is an own son of the immortal (+) JDH Charley Manso 590/6 who was a maternal cornerstone siring more Maternal Merit Females than any other bull in the breed. The dam of 789/4 was a top revenue generator at V8 Ranch, producing multiple champions. She came from one of the winningest cow families in V8 Ranch history generating more than $750,000 in progeny sales. Due to his eye appeal, show ring winnings, performance, and pedigree he has been used in over 25 of the most elite Brahman herds in the United States siring over 200 progeny. JDH SIR ABBOTT MANSO 38/5 was purchased as our pick of the J. D. Hudgins Spring 2016 Bull Sale. He is a powerful son of the National Champion and Global Brahman Icon, +JDH Mr. Elmo Manso and out of a proven (+) JDH Sir Liberty Manso daughter. He is structurally sound, heavy-muscled, long-bodied, gentle, and a low birthweight bull. 38/5 exemplifies the quality that we utilize to improve our herd.

JDH Mr. Southern Manso 998/1

JDH Mr. Southern Manso 998/1 was our pick of the J.D. Hudgins-Leslie Hudgins Division’s 2013 Spring Calf Crop. He is a low birthweight and high growth sire who transmits this into his calves. 998/1 is a son of +JDH Lawford Manso 616 who has sired over 20 herd sires for J.D. Hudgins, Inc. His dam combines show ring appeal with maternal performance being sired by JDH Eastman Manso and out of a Maternal Merit Award dam sired by (=) JDH Westin Manso 80/1. The calves from 998/1 are exceptional being fast growing, heavy muscled, deep ribbed, and eye appealing.  It should be noted that 998/1 is still naturally breeding at 8 years of age indicating his structural soundness, fertility, and proven siring ability.

MSP Esto Imperator 402/1

A “Beefy” bull from the legendary Partin & Partin Heart Bar program that thrives on grass and produces the type of functionality we strive to produce in our herd. His outcross in genetics will enhance the versatility of his progeny.  We have retained more daughters from 402/1 than any other sire due to their functional build and pigmentation.

Miss V8 879/7 is one of our top donors due to her production, pedigree, and performance.  We purchased this female as a yearling heifer from the famed V8 Ranch.  She results from the proven cross of +Mr. V8 380/6 and +JDH Ms. Water Manso that produced a National Champion, International Champion, and top herd sire.  As might be expected from this superior genetic backing 879/7 ranks in the top 25% of the breed for BW & Milk EPD, 5% for Growth, 1% for Ribeye Area, and 10% for Marbling.  We have mated 879/7 to a variety of sires with them always being in demand and purchased by breeders in the USA and abroad.

Miss V8 196/8 is the MOST proven donor at the ranch due to the sales of her offspring.  The demand for the progeny of 196/8 results from her being the most proven and well-known sister to the breed icon +Mr. V8 458/7 “Noble”.  Just like her brother 196/8 injects superior growth and docility into her offspring.  We have crossed 196/8 with a number of sires which all produced outstanding results.
