Angus Herd

In 2017, we started assembling an elite set of Angus cattle.  At the time that we entered the business, an emphasis was placed on exceptional carcass quality.  Bonchasse has been feeding our own steers for over 20 years and strives for carcass excellence with all of our cattle.  Understanding the BEEF business, we selected our Angus cattle based on ultrasound carcass measurements and the $C & $B indexes from the American Angus Association.  We still emphasize the American Angus Association indexes when mating our cattle and have a number of animals that rank in the top 5% of the breed for $B & $C.

Ruby is sired by the proven growth, RE, $B, and $C sire in the ABS Global roster, Black Magic 3348. She is one of the last daughters of the $500,000 now deceased High Roller Angus donor, Ruby 2357.

The now-deceased dam is one of the all-time high-income producers in the 44 Farms program and the top producing daughter of the 44 Farms and Select Sires calving-ease specialist, Capitalist 028. The dam carries ultrasound ratios IMF 53@99 and REA 53@100, with 16 daughters maintaining a combined WR 19@100.

Ruby ranks in the top 10% of the breed for WW, YW, HP, Angle, Marb, $B, $G & $C!
